Project head.hands.heart encompasses my collective quests to illuminate architectural interventions for mental health. This project is an ongoing exploration into the reciprocal relationships that form the connective tissue between the head, hands, heart, and each of their sensory extensions. Iā€™m asking how the built environment influences human sensory perception in an effort to better understand the relationships between self-destruction , self-expression , and the built environment.

This continued research for project head.hands.heart considers sensory perception sensitivities due to embodied trauma. By researching cognition, perception, self-harm, and sensory sensitivities, I explore how a biophilic approach to soft architecture might allow for free expression while alleviating destructive behaviours.
